30 cms of Fresh at Valhalla!
When we left Valhalla PowderCats on Sunday it was snowing pretty hard but we were worried about the rising temps in the valley. Well are worries have been crushed by 30c,s of fresh Kootenay powder. Given what they already have up there you'd be best to call in sick this week and get up there. Check out there stand-by rates, we hear they are pretty good!
Great snow, great terrain, great people at Valhalla Powder Cats
Great snow, great terrain, and great people. That about sums up Valhalla Powdercats. We have visited this operation a few times now and they consistently deliver fantastic days of skiing. It started to snow the day we were up and the light was a little low, but we were still able to snap off a few good shots. Check out the gallery below and stay tuned for some video...
A few spots left at Monashee Powder Snowcats January 18-21
Monashee Powder Catskiing reports that they are having a great Ski Season so far this year.   They have continued to receive snow almost daily and the skiing and riding is still magnificent.  It’s stayed cold and the snow is great! It may be raining in the valley but there is powder in them there hills!

So here is the deal: There are a few last minute seats left for Jan. 18 – 21, 2010 for $1899. (including all tax and evacuation coverage) The regular price is $3000!

They are also offering to break up this trip into two day trips.  Go up for either a Monday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Thursday trip with arrival the day before the trip dates. These are up for grabs for just $949! A 4x4 vehicle would be the best way of accessing our meeting spot on the Sugar Lake Forestry Road, however if that’s not possible, they can make other arrangements.

We headed out to visit Big Red Catskiing this past weekend just outside of Rossland BC. It hadn't snowed in five or six days and was a little cloudy when we got there. After a short ride in the cat we were dropped off in another world with loads of fresh powder and believe it or not, sunshine! Check out the gallery below:
